This is one of the newest additions to the Jameson range and was also labelled previously as 'Select Reserve'. The term 'Black Barrel' was used because some of the spirit is matured in heavily charred 1st fill bourbon casks. Time spent maturing in these barrels lends this whiskey intensified notes of vanilla sweetness and caramel, alongside toasted wood, fruit, and warm spice.
