Age Policy

Purchases can only be made by persons aged 18 or over. The recipient of the goods MUST also be a minimum of 18 years old. In completing this order you are confirming that both the person placing the order and the recipient of the goods ordered are aged 18 years or over.  Where any of our drivers are in doubt as to the age of the person receiving the goods, they reserve the right to request proof of age and / or retain the goods until they can be received by a person of, or above, the legal age to purchase alcohol.

Purchases

The prices for goods displayed for sale are as set out on the website and are inclusive of VAT and Duty at rates valid at the time of purchase. Where additional charges are made for delivery, they are clearly displayed.

By completing and submitting the electronic order form on the site you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.

By making that offer to purchase goods, you are also authorising Mc Hugh’s to pre validate the Debit or Credit card presented for payment for the full value of the goods and related service charges contained in your basket. Your card will not be charged until the offer to purchase has been accepted by Mc Hugh’s Off-Licence.

We will confirm acceptance of your order by email. This confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide on your order details. Whether or not you receive an email, our acceptance of your order will create a legally binding contract between us. We reserve the right not to supply you at our discretion.

The contract between the parties is to be governed by and construed according to Irish law and the parties agree to submit any disputes to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Availability

In the event of shortage of a particular item we will contact you to discuss substituting with goods of similar quality.  For wines for which a specific vintage is not stated, the vintage year may vary from that shown on the product images. If a specific vintage is required, please contact us for confirmation of available vintages.

All wines are 75cl unless otherwise stated. We do not accept responsibility for typographical errors. Prices can change at any time without notice.

Mc Hugh’s Off-Licence reserves the right to change the description, specification, and price of its products and services without notice. All orders for goods advertised on our website are subject to availability. Mc Hugh’s Off-Licence reserves the right to refuse to supply to any individual or company for whatever reason.

Prices & Payment

Prices are displayed in Euro. We do not accept responsibility for typographical errors. Prices can change at any time without notice. Payment is accepted by Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit, MasterCard Debit and Laser.

Minimum Orders

There are no minimum orders, but note that on larger orders, the delivery charge is a lesser proportion of the overall sale amount. 

Ownership

All goods are the property of McHugh’s off-licence until all goods and all outstanding debts have been paid in full. 

Force Majeure

McHugh’s Off-Licence shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
