Lough Gill Spear was aged for a year in Oloroso Sherry casks that previously held Irish Whiskey, this reveals strong notes of whiskey softened by the chocolate and coffee aromas coming from the blend of roasted and caramel malts. A soft Sherry finish gives this Imperial Stout a silky texture to support the 13% abv alcohol.
